The best compliment that can be said about routers in general is "set it and forget it" - this applies admirably to the AirPort Extreme line. Once set up, although parameters may need tweaking here and there as you update your network and new needs arise, the APE performs consistently. Most easily fixed problems arise from failure to reboot the modem/router after setup, and failure to specify the Radio mode and check the 5GHz box. Adjustments of the Multicast rate, Transmit power, and wide channel toggle are worth experimenting with to achieve optimal performance for your set up.
