Unfortunately because of the time that has passed between when we tested these two machines we are not able to provide you with a direct performance comparison.
That being said, we can say that the Intel Mac mini will run rings around your current machine. In processing capacity it is at least 10 times as fast as your current machine, and quite possibly faster. All other aspects of the newer machine will be faster as well. Some of your applications will need to be updated to take advantage of the new Intel processor, and it may be some months before they are, but once that is done, they will fly on the Mac mini, compared to what you are used to.
The use of the new dual core Intel processor makes the current Mac mini a much more flexible machine, compared to its predecessors.
