iBook Reflections At 18 Months - My 700 MHz G3 iBook is now 18 months old; half-life for the average computer as a front-line machine. Despite a reputation of spotty reliability that resulted in Apple implementing a three-year service extension program, recently expanded to include all of the 600 MHz through 900 MHz G3 iBooks, mine has showed nary a sign of problems as yet, although that may be akin to the fellow who fell off the roof of a 20 story building commenting as he passed the 5th floor: “so far, so good.”
