Apple
continues to have a 10 day wait on these tower machine (don't
hold your breath), but they are in good supply elsewhere (except
at MacConnection which has been out of them as long as Apple).
We still think that new Towers are coming soon, but we are
not sure exactly when. Best guess is near the end of this
month, when the current Apple sponsored monitor
promotion runs out. Or in late March when Macworld Tokyo
takes place. However we find it hard to believe that Apple
will wait until March to roll out new machines. But you never
know.
For those of you for whom the CRT is not
yet dead, MacZone is offering a $50 rebate on either one
of two Hitachi monitors when you buy a Tower machine from
them. One is a 17" and the other is a 19". If you
opt to get the 17 inch model, the end price (after rebate)
will be about $130.
Special Promotions
Apple announced a new promotion for the G4 Towers on October

Apple's suggested retail price for these displays are 15"
